22nd to 24th September 2025

CTNTP would like to bring this Call to Prayer to your attention that is being organised by Community Watchmen Ministries (CVM). cwmprayer.com
As the Church of England awaits the appointment of the next Archbishop of
Canterbury, we (CVM), believe it is important for God’s people to stand in the gap in prayer and preparation.
We sense an urgency to go to each of the 42 Cathedrals in humility, to pray with
repentant hearts and to release a declaration (already written especially for this
assignment). This will happen preferably between 22nd – 24th September which happens to be the Feast of Trumpets.
We are encouraging people to visit Cathedrals across England to pray, calling God’s people to consecration and repentance.
1 Timothy 2:1-4 “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people — for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Saviour, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”
We appreciate your prayers for our team as we go to Canterbury and for all involved as intercession is made in every Cathedral across our nation.
Our prayers will include:
1. Repentance for any sexual sin, known or unknown.
2. Repentance for anything that has taken God’s place.
3. A declaration to be made in each Cathedral.
We encourage you to be led by Holy Spirit and to remember we are praying FOR the Church and not judging or pulling down.
If you would like to consider becoming involved, for more details, please email Sue Sinclair at cvmprayer@me.com
This call to prayer is VERY welcome. Huge thanks to the organisers.
One observation: repentance for sexual sin is specifically mentioned. I think this quite unnecessary not least because far greater & weightier sins have been committed by the body of Christ in this Nation and to single this out implies other sins are less important. They are not, indeed in my view they are far greater.
Repentance should be full and unequivocal for all that has fallen short of Gods call to Holiness: to be separate from the world; to be a light in the darkness; to stand on and proclaim Gods word loudly and unequivocally; to be utterly faithful and obedient to His Word, the Bible..
Thank you,
Barbara Lindner
