This painting was inspired during a worship session at New Wine on 8th August 2008 (080808). There was such a tangible sense of the presence of God in the room with the sound of extra voices like the angels were worshipping with us.
The yellow people in the painting represent the angels. The bright light represents the manifest presence and glory of God which is resting on the people (look closely and you can see the ‘whiteness’ of his glory on the people.)
The date seems significant about the number eight signifying gates… about breakthrough, new beginnings etc.
It is painted acrylic on canvas. I painted it a few days after the New Wine event.
