Mile walk, week commencing 13th August – Praying for new pregnancies and new parents

We are asking everyone to go ‘A Mile with Jesus’ in your local community.

  • If you live in urban areas, simply walk one mile around your area.
  • If you live in a rural area, consider praying over a map.
  • If you are unable to walk, please pray in your mind about the local area.

Isaac (Genesis 21:1-7) Joseph (Genesis 30:22-23) Jacob (Genesis 25:20-21) Samuel (1 Samuel 1:1-19) John the Baptist (Luke 1:1-25) were all babies born to women struggling to conceive.  A crisis can hit as women age, suffer a miscarriage or a medical investigation reveals a problem, or just out of desperation.

PRAYER

Praise God for all babies born to men and women who have struggled with fertility. Thank God for all children in your neighbourhood and for all pregnant women and new Mothers.

  • Pray for couples desperate to conceive a baby, that they will seek God in prayer, lead healthy lives and that their relationship is filled with mutual love.
  • Pray for women couples who have suffered a miscarriage, for healing and for their miracle pregnancy
  • Pray protection over all unborn children in your street, that they will make it to term.
  • Pray for miracle pregnancies where couples have been given little hope of having their own children and all desperate for a child
  • Thank God for all parents considering adoption and all children who have found a new home with new families, for peace and happiness within that home.
  • Pray for the medical profession to see ‘surprise pregnancies’ as a testimony to them.
  • Pray for all women considering an abortion to reconsider.

CARE

  • Bless a new Mother in your neighbourhood with a present for the baby or some food in the first few weeks from your church.
  • If you know of a woman desperate for another baby, pray each day for them.

SHARE

  • Almost every church has a story of a baby born as a result of prayer, share this if you have the opportunity with someone.

.

Next week we are praying for those struggling with mental health issues; a growing problem in all areas of the UK.

Day of Prayer for Britain 8th September 2018

The following, by email, was recently sent out from Eurovision – the ministry of evangelist David Hathaway. www.eurovision.org.uk

David has prayed and encouraged countless thousands to pray over this nation for many years. Do consider if you should be at this event.

Britain is in crisis. Christians and Government are divided – our whole future is in question. Britain was once a Godly Nation but has now turned away from God. Brexit and the Authority of the Bible have divided church and state.

In October the EU will make the decision over Brexit, we have a last opportunity as Christians to determine our future according to the Will of God not man. Psalm 133 says, ‘When Brethren dwell in unity, the Lord commands the blessing’. We can change Britain through the power of prayer when we unite in intercession.

We need you to join us to stand in unity on a Day of Prayer and Repentance, Saturday 8th September in the Central Hall Westminster – this is the 78th anniversary of the King’s call to the nation to pray in the war in 1940.

Intercession will be led by: David Hathaway, Jonathan Oloyede, Dennis Greenidge, Barry Segal, Brenda Taylor and others.

To purchase your ticket click here

I hope to see you on Saturday 8th September,

Your brother in Christ,
David Hathaway

Mile walk, week commencing 6th August – Praying for the Lonely and Sick

We are asking everyone to go ‘A Mile with Jesus’ in your local community.

  • If you live in urban areas, simply walk one mile around your area.
  • If you live in a rural area, consider praying over a map.
  • If you are unable to walk, please pray in your mind about the local area.

PRAYER

Psalm 68:6: God places the lonely in families.

  • We bring before you anyone in our street and in surrounding streets, who go to bed at night crying, because they are so lonely and feel no-one cares for them.
  • For those who have just suffered a family breakdown, a bereavement or those desperate to meet a partner/husband/wife, to find someone soon.
  • For all those who are so ill, it is difficult to leave their house or take part in social activities.   Help families, friends and neighbours, remember them and visit more often.
  • For all those in severe pain or struggling to breathe, bring healing.
  • Bring comfort to those already missing voluntary groups that have shut down over the summer.  Help the volunteers use this time to be refreshed.
  • Soften our own hearts towards those in need in our neighbourhood and open our eyes to the people you want us to help.
  • Lord, teach me to be a real friend to those in need, even when it becomes difficult.

CARE

  • Ask God to reveal to you a neighbour who needs encouragement or a new friend.  (This activity is not suitable for under 18s please, unless they are the same age).

SHARE

  • Think back to a time when you were feeling lonely or ill and God helped you.  Ask God for an opportunity to share your story with someone soon.

Next week we are praying for the promise of new babies and children, for all who desire them in your neighbourhood.

Mile walk, week commencing 30th July – Pray for our Children

Every single child in the UK is now hopefully enjoying the six week holidays. This week we pray for their safety over the summer break and thank God for the work of the church.

  • If you live in urban areas, simply walk one mile around your area.
  • If you live in a rural area, consider praying over a map.
  • If you are unable to walk, please pray in your mind about the local area.

PRAYER

  • Thank God for every child in your local area and for the schools that they attend.
  • Pray for the protection of school buildings over summer and for the protection of all children on local roads, streets and play areas.  Protect them from anyone who might harm them intentionally.
  • Thank you for all the churches across the country who are providing children with food this summer….a significant minority of children will struggle to eat this summer due to poverty and churches across the UK are other voluntary organisations are helping with this.
  • Protect children from the influence of local gangs or from disharmony in their homes.
  • Help parents on low incomes find cheap ways of entertaining their child and use this as an opportunity to spend quality time with them.
  • Thank you for grandparents and the role they have in looking after children not just in summer, but all year round.
  • Thank you for all the Sunday schools and youth groups locally, pray a blessing on them and for God’s love to shine through.

CARE

  • Look out for children this summer, keep an eye out on your street – who is around, are they okay and pray for them.  Try to be understanding if children are playing games in your street or things keep landing in your garden!
  • Look after elderly people in the heat- is your house cooler or could you lend them fans etc?

SHARE

  • If you know of any ‘Messy church’ or church events for children and families, could you encourage a neighbour to attend?

Next week we are praying for the elderly and those in bad health as the heatwave continues.

Six Miles with Jesus – Week 1: Walk a Mile to Pray for our Churches

From our friends at Neighbourhood Prayer Network

See our recent article, Six Miles with Jesus over the Summer Holidays for details – Click here.

This week’s Mile walk – Pray for our Churches

(Apologies but we should have been posted at the beginning of this week, but it’s not too late to walk and pray):

PRAYER

If you are able, go for a mile walk this week, praying a blessing over all the churches that you come across and praying for all their congregations.

  • Pray for new encounters with God for people struggling to cling to their faith and new commitment to follow Jesus wholeheartedly.
  • Pray for the welfare and prayer life of the local minister.
  • Pray for the church to be a magnetic community, where people who are not yet Christians are amazed by the love and friendship within churches.
  • Pray for Christians to be more like Jesus and not compromise their lifestyles to fit in with culture.
  • Pray for Christians to offer genuine friendships to one another so that those without faith become ‘jealous’ of the love shown between Christians.
  • Pray for churches to be more like the Acts 2 church.
  • Pray for God to stir the hearts of many to follow Him and for the church to be ready!

CARE

  • Find out if there are any joint services with other churches in the area and try to join in.
  • Think about your relationships with people in your church, how well do you know them?  Are you just a Sunday or home group friend?  Can you be counted to maintain a friendship when people are struggling or need your help?  What do you like most about your best friendships and what would you like to see better?
  • Ask God to connect you with someone who needs genuine friendship in the Christian community this summer.

SHARE

  • Would you feel comfortable inviting any of your friends or family who does not yet know Jesus to your church or a local church?  Whatever the answer speak to God about what is good and what is bad.

The Fields are Ripe

04 David and Andy by still watersMy friend Andy and I completed Section 20 of The London Loop Walk today.

Organised by the Neighbourhood Prayer Network, we were the last to complete one of  the twenty four sections which have been walked over the last few weeks to pray for peace in London – for the end of knife and violent crime. We ‘closed the Loop’.

During our journey, I took a photo of a field. I sensed it was a prophetic scene. The Barley (we think it was) was tall, golden and ready to harvest… but the ground was cracked and dry

Despite how things look in our Nation, we believe The Lord is going to bring in an Almighty Harvest of Souls for The Kingdom of God.

What does the photo say to you?

Blessings
David Gilbey

John 4:35:

Don’t you have a saying, “It’s still four months until harvest”? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.

Days of Wigglesworth Prophecy

As One A4 portrait
Click to find out about our gatherings

The following prophetic word, is reproduced verbatim from the Blog – UK prophetic Words – click here to go to the site.

As with all prophetic words, they must be weighed carefully in accordance with Scripture, also letting The Holy Spirit speak to your heart. Particularly, as this one, where it purports to be The Lord’s own words.
.
However, it certainly resonates strongly with all CTNTP has been hearing concerning the coming revival. And Wigglesworth has certainly featured strongly!
.
Are you planning to come to our prophetic gatherings on 29th September?

As in the days of Wigglesworth

Chris Bennett July 2018

Are you a carrier of God’s anointing and presence? The Lord showed me a short video clip in the Spirit. I saw the famous story of Smith Wigglesworth on a train. It was one of those old trains with individual 6/8 seat compartments. Two men joined Wigglesworth in his compartment and the train went into a tunnel. When it emerged into daylight again, the two men were on their knees repenting and crying out to God for mercy. When he managed to quieten them down, Wigglesworth asked them about their experience. One of them seemed to answer for both men – “Your presence convicts us!”

Hear now the Lord today! “I am sending a convicting anointing on those who will carry My presence wherever they go! Like Wigglesworth before them, their presence will serve to convict people. It will not be them of course, it will be by My Spirit, whom they carry, and they will – just by the presence that they carry – bring many into the Kingdom!”

“You have heard, ‘wave after wave’, which even Wigglesworth prophesied, and I am sending wave after wave to your land. Village after village, town after town, city after city, will all see and feel the effect of the waves of My Holy Spirit as He sweeps across your nation.”, says the Lord. “Politics – Brexit, elections, Trump, and so on – will dominate your headlines, but the days are fast approaching when Revival will feature even in the anchor news programmes.

THERE IS COMING A TURN AROUND SUCH AS HAS NEVER BEEN SEEN, NOR IMAGINED BEFORE, WHICH WILL BRING A RETURN OF TRUTH, INTEGRITY, AND MY JUSTICE TO BOTH BRITAIN AND AMERICA.” says the Lord. “THIS ‘WIGGLESWORTH ANOINTING’ OF MY PRESENCE WILL BE A SIGN OF THE COMING WAVES OF MY SPIRIT AND A SURE SIGN OF THE START OF MY REVIVAL FIRES!”, says God.

Neighbourhood Prayer net

Over the six week school holidays, we are asking every one of us to do six 1 mile walks from your front door, around your street and surrounding streets, praying for:

  • Crime
  • Families
  • Loneliness and social issues.
  • Health issues
  • Pollution and environmental issues.
  • Local businesses and the economy

It is estimated that this will take about 1 hour each week.  Please could you encourage others in your church to take part this summer.  We appreciate many go away, but others find this six week period incredibly boring as most activities stop over the summer break.

If you live in Greater Manchester, Rachael Fola-Taiwo is planning some prayer walking in late September on a specific day.  Please, can you contact us – www.neighbourhoodprayer.net/about/contact – if you would like to take part?

Thank you.
