We are gradually hearing of others who have been called by The Lord to walk the land of the United Kingdom in quite extraordinary ways. Recently we’ve been in communication with Via Beata – ‘A way of blessing’.

On their website, www.viabeata.co.uk, Via Beata describe themselves as, ‘A pilgrimage with a difference… with a dream to span Great Britain from Lowestoft to St Davids.’ – the most eastern point of England to the most Westerly point in Wales

Via Beata is headed up by Steve Eggleton and at the turn of the Millenium, he and others were led by God to establish, in their words, ‘a major trail of Christian art-works that will communicate His love for people, and for the UK’.

Steve was amazed to find that as they set the line from Lowestoft to St. David’s, it went straight through his own property in Banham, Norfolk and the first way-station was set up there in 2009. There is an aim to establish a way-station about every ten miles on the trail. There are already nineteen.

As you may be aware, part of the vision of CTNTP, is to be a catalyst to the releasing of ‘a sound of heaven’ being lifted over our nation. Via Beata has illustrated that this is not simply by way of music or singing… Expression through art, the sound of people praying, speaking blessing, the sound of their feet walking as they travel across the nation, is surely all part of this.

Part of the mission of CTNTP, as The Lord directs, is to connect with others up and down the nation with a similar heart for seeing His Kingdom Come upon the UK. I have personally travelled many hundreds of miles in the last year or so. Many relationships have been formed.

Earlier this week, CTNTP Team member, Stuart Sadler and I, visited a lady who we had been introduced to by another contact. She was a little nearer than usual – only a few miles away from where we live in Chelmsford. I won’t give her details at the moment, as we are presently waiting on God to see what further he might have between us, but feel to relate this:

As we chatted, it became clear that this dear lady’s mission and longing in life, was to spread far and wide, the good news of The Father’s love; that we are his precious and loved sons and daughters, that he is our Dad.

As we spoke about this, she gave us some copies of The Father’s Love Letter.

Often, when The Holy Spirit shows-up during a conversation I am involved in, I feel tears coming to the corners my eyes. It’s a sort of indication to me that he is trying to say something? As we continued, tears started to well-up much more than usual – The Lord was certainly speaking!

I then strongly felt to tell her something most profound, something that The Lord had brought to my attention many months ago and which I often repeated to people in the context of what I believe 24-7 prayer really is: that it’s a relationship – a walk in the cool of the day with our Heavenly Father, (see Genesis 3:8), which even as we read this verse, had been destroyed by sin. But, the Good News is that Jesus, by His death and resurrection, has restored our ability to intimately walk again with our Father.

As I related this, our host gasped! This was one of  the very things at the core of her own belief and understanding of our Heavenly Father’s desire to restore relationship with His beloved sons and daughters – each one of us who has, does and will walk this earth.

More than that, this lady has written some books on the subject of The Father’s love. She gave me one. The Forward was written by Barry Adams, who wrote The Father’s Love Letter. It began, to my delight, in exactly the same way:

‘From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible tells the story of God’s love for mankind. I would even say that the whole Bible is His love letter to all who will open their hearts to read it. The story begins with a man called Adam and a woman called Eve. Their only responsibilities were to tend the garden and learn to walk with God is the cool of the day. 

Though there have been many twists and turns throughout humanity’s history, I believe that the original calling found in Genesis as valid today as it was back then… to simply learn to walk with God. Whilst this would be impossible with our own human effort, our elder brother, Jesus Christ, has secured the way for us so we could find our way home. (John 14:6)…’

There are so many in our nation who need to discover God as Father, who are lost and need to discover the (only) way home. It is my longing to see this fulfilled and I am absolutely sure this wonderful lady and CTNTP too, are very much part of God’s plan for it to happen.

My other ‘hat’ is leading Chelmsford 24-7 Prayer and last Saturday, I was on a Prayer Walk with a friend in our City Centre. We have two rivers running through and at one, I felt to pause and gaze into the water. It was murky grey with no discernable flow. It needed some LIFE!

I was just about to say to my friend that a canoe from our local club down river would stir things up and right on cue, one appeared from around a bend. It was remarkable to see that even a couple of minutes after it had disappeared from view, the waters remained choppy, full of life and movement, little half-moon shaped ripples dancing and bouncing off of the concrete lined bank.

I felt The Lord say to the effect, ‘See, simply by your presence you can instantly and dramatically change a situation and have a lasting effect!’

Then, a second canoe appeared – this time a two-seater – again the waters became turgid, with even greater movement. Eventually two more, with four guys rowing for all they were worth. A maelstrom!

Just one Christian, who is persistent in prayer and led by The Holy Spirit to intentional action, can dramatically bring ‘life’ anywhere there is hopelessness and stagnation.

And, if we join in real unity with others of like heart and mind, ‘as one’ with our Heavenly Father, then things will get really interesting! Together we can surely stir and change a community, a whole town or a city… or maybe even our entire Nation?

The Lord is continuing it seems, to want to draw Christians around our Nation together in genuine relationship and unity -to be ‘as one’, so we can stand strong for what is ahead.

The vision and mission of CTNTP is developing organically and is very much based on relationship. Just as we have a close relationship with our Heavenly Father, we simply allow God to direct us to those with whom we feel He wants us to connect. Friendships, sometimes partnerships are then formed and out of these the way forward is slowly but surely opening up.

We hope to have more to say about more of these developing relationships over the next few weeks but are pleased at this time to be able to anounce the following:

Early Autumn 2017, I became aware of Rob Parker, who had recorded an album. All I knew was that it was something to do with praying around the coastlands of the UK? Despite knowing so little, I immediately felt quite strongly that I needed to find out more.

Maybe three or four weeks later, I was at a small prayer gathering at the World Prayer Centre offices in Birmingham, when I overheard a man talking about CTNTP’s Peter Hill and asking if anyone knew him? It was none other than Rob Parker and I quickly introduced myself!

Awake you who sleep

Rob, who is based in Bridlington, North Yorkshire and who is director of operations for WINGS Prayer House, wingsprayerhouse.com, actually had with him copies of his just about to be released CD, Awaken the Coastlands, described by one reviewer: “This album takes you on a historical yet prophetic trip around the nations of the United Kingdom, leaving you hungry for more…”. I acquired a copy.

I believe one track in particular, Awake you who sleep, very much encapsulates the vision of Call the Nation to Prayer. Rob has graciously allowed us to make it available to CTNTP. I believe it truly is an anthem or theme song, for what CTNTP is all about.

Partnering with Rob Parker and WINGS

I strongly felt that Rob had a role to play within CTNTP, particularly in view his clearly prophetic musical abilities with regard to our Objective, ‘Releasing a Sound‘ over the nation.

Rob came along as a guest to our Team meeting in Coventry in February and we are pleased to say that he has agreed to become part of the CTNTP Steering Team. WINGS  Prayer House will also be partnering with CTNTP and we will simply journey together and see what The Lord opens up.

Please pray that The Lord continues to nurture all of our relationships and without taking diversions, we keep walking the path we believe He has already laid for us.

Now in it’s third year, Thy Kingdom Come is a global wave of prayer , taking place over eleven days, Ascension to Pentecost  -10th to 20th May 2018.

Thy Kingdom Come invites Christians around the world to pray for more people to come to know Jesus.  What started in 2016 as an invitation from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York to the Church of England has grown into an international and ecumenical call to prayer.

How Justin Welby’s journey to faith in Jesus Christ affected by prayer…

‘I was amazed when I received your email… about God sending laughter!

One of my favourite Psalms is Psalm 100. I learned it off by heart when I was a child – I am 73 – and it has been very precious to me over the years.’

‘Almost two years ago the lovely hymn came into my mind…”All people that on earth do dwell.” I sang it around the house for a few days – I’m not much of a singer – and one morning I was in my lounge having my prayer time and I started to sing it quietly. I heard, with my spiritual ears, the Lord say “Did you know that hymn is based on one of your favourite Psalms…100.

I told the Lord I had never made that connection although I had known the hymn many years as we sang it at school when I was young. I started to sing it quietly again and the Lord spoke to me again. “Sing it louder” so I sang it a bit louder.

Then the Lord said to me “Sing it with gusto!” So I started to sing it even more loudly! “All people that on earth do dwell, Sing to the Lord with cheerful voice. Him serve with mirth”……..As soon as I sang the word “mirth” I felt a thump on my abdomen – it wasn’t at all painful – and I started to laugh uncontrollably!

I laughed and laughed and praised the Lord and rolled around on my chair for many minutes with tears streaming down my face. It was an amazing experience! I know the Lord did something new in my life that day.

Since that day I have prayed as I’ve never prayed before and have started a prayer group in my home and each week just a small number of us give thanks to our God and intercede for our church, our families, our nation and anything else that God brings to our minds.

About six weeks ago I had another similar experience whilst making a long drive home – again whilst I was singing In my car. God is doing amazing things in this nation of ours and I stand in awe of him!

I worship in a Pentecostal church but I have never before had an experience like that!’

Psalm 100  – The Passion Translation

A poetic song for thanksgiving

1 Lift up a great shout of joy to the Lord!
Go ahead and do it—everyone, everywhere!
2 As you serve him, be glad and worship him.
Sing your way into his presence with joy!
3 And realize what this really means—
we have the privilege of worshiping the Lord our God.
For he is our Creator and we belong to him.
We are the people of his pleasure.
4 You can pass through his open gates with the password of praise.
Come right into his presence with thanksgiving.
Come bring your thank offering to him
and affectionately bless his beautiful name!
5 For the Lord is always good and ready to receive you.
He’s so loving that it will amaze you—

Everyone knows our God can be trusted,
for he keeps his promises to every generation!

The Bible tells us in Joel 2:28, that in the last days before the return of Jesus, we should expect people to have prophetic words, dreams and visions. That is of course how CTNTP came along, when in 2015, Peter Hill heard The Lord tell him to, ‘call the nation to prayer’.

During the night on 7th March 2018, Peter Hill had a dream. He describes it thus:

Now it is interesting that in yesterday’s Blog post, ‘Seed time and harvest – together’ (click here), I made reference to and indeed posted a little sketch that I had drawn of a tractor, (minus plough!), ploughing a field, which had bird’s flying behind it. (Yes those squiggles are birds!).

In that post, I hadn’t made any mention of the birds, nor had thoughts that they were relevant, but maybe here follows the explanation?

We’ve just received an email from a brand new subscriber to CTNTP, Andy Ritchie, from Sutton Vineyard Church, South West London. Andy had been looking through our website. He wrote the following, shared with his permission:

‘I related to many of the articles and was encouraged, the fires Jean Darnall described, I had seen a couple of weeks ago while praying. I joined a friend who had a vision that after seven times prayer walking round a local estate, a band /sound would be appearing. Before I went out I felt that the army of the Lord would be there fighting on our behalf, at a certain point and saw an image like a huge bird in the sky (Spiritual realm), when we reached that point and went to battle praying. The verse my friend cited confirmed this:

“The LORD of Heaven’s Armies will hover over Jerusalem and protect it like a bird protecting its nest. He will defend and save the city; he will pass over it and rescue it.” Isaiah 31:5 .’ (NLT).

This whole chapter in Isaiah (click here to read), is about the folly of not trusting in God, repentance and reformation and God’s protection over a nation.

Could we replace ‘Jerusalem’ with, ‘the United Kingdom’?

Andy then went on to say:

‘Below is the post from the friend I was with…

Final lap of the 7 day walk, unbelievable feeling a shift happen has we walked around the estate, in the cold we felt the prescience of the Holy Spirit, something shifted, we felt, that God was operating the biblical word “BAN” over the spiritual forces. Meaning it felt like the cause of the idols, deprivation, materialism will be addressed and wiped out.
We prayed for the following areas: For a path to be made in the wilderness. We prayed about the deceit, that is taking place, in unbelievers and followers of Jesus, we repented and asked God to fill us with a deeper revelation of God.
We prayed that our faith will be authentic and that we will, be a light, we felt, that God was going to strengthen weak Christians, that more warriors will be joining the war, these people will not be full of empty words, or a plastic faith but a real deep love for Jesus and their focus will be to do his will.

Regarding the vision the fires Jean Darnall described, I have seen also couple of weeks ago while praying during the end of the service, many strong large fires burning brightly, our Lord Jesus was walking around them and then knelt down and wrote in the sand?’

Finally Andy wrote this:

‘Our H.O.T.S [Healing on the Streets] and prayer ministry leaders from our church were praying early in the morning last month, before anyone arrived and heard an audible voice speak and say “WAKE UP!”. (they even went outside to check if anyone was outside and found nobody).’

Do weigh and seek God over these words. Thank you Andy for allowing us to share them.

On 15th October 2015, well before the vision for CTNTP had come to my attention, I was in Norwich for a meeting. Later the same day, as a guest for tea at a large Georgian house a few miles away, I unexpectedly found myself sitting praying with two others in a tiny room that our host kept reserved for prayer.

The Lord gave me some pictures, here are two of them:

1. A tractor ploughing a field, with birds feeding,  flying and swooping behind it.
2. A musical triangle – the three equal sides representing The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit – but it was being used as a fire alarm – sounding an alert that the fire of The Spirit was coming!

I believed they might be significant and simply recorded them in my journal to see what else The Lord might say in the future?

The Future!

26th February 2018, I was sitting in our CTNTP Team Meeting in Coventry (see also the last Blog Post regards ‘Joy’ – click here) and during a time of listening to The Holy Spirit, I felt Him speaking to me about that word about the tractor ploughing. I drew a simple picture of this on a piece of paper. (It was so simple that I forgot to actually draw the plough!!).

At the same time, two other members of our Team also heard from The Lord. One wrote, ‘Harvesting’ and ‘Combine Harvester’, the other, the word ‘drill’ (seed drill?), but then thought this referred to, ‘a plough turning over the ground’.

Our attention was then drawn to this passage in Amos 9:13:

“The days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when the reaper will be overtaken by the ploughman and the planter by the one treading grapes. New wine will drip from the mountains and flow from all the hills,

We felt God was talking to us about ‘The Land’ of the UK, about our vision for prayer walking, also about ‘ancient pathways’ and the importance of all this to what He is about to do, about to release upon our Nation in extraordinary measure!

Sound the alarm!

Fire alarms go off suddenly, without warning. Flames spread fast! I believe the ‘Holy Trinity Fire Alarm’ is about to sound out over the UK!

Are we ready, not to run-away, but to run with God? Are we ready to abandon our usual pattern of doing things and flow with Him only where The Holy Spirit takes us, spreading far and wide the gospel of Jesus Christ in whatever way He guides, to instantaneously see thousands upon thousands ‘Born Again’!?

There is a real sense that it, whatever ‘it’ will look like, is all going to happen very quickly! We have ploughed  – and continue to do so – we have sown – and still do – and although maybe we presently see some harvest for The Kingdom of God, actually we have seen nothin’ yet! (someone spoke a word over me several years ago, that I had seen nothin’ yet!).

5778 – Year of new beginnings

I subsequently came across a prophetic word dated 8th January 2018, on the website,  everydayrevivalists.com, given by Nate and Christy Johnston. It starts off:

‘On the 10th of October, we were In Washington D.C when I had a dream where the Lord said to me “Prophesy HARVEST, and blow the trumpet of JUBILEE!” This really grabbed my attention because prior to flying over to the United States only a week earlier God began speaking to us about the billion soul harvest prophesied by Bob Jones years ago. We both had a strong sensing that the church was crossing over into a time of harvest that would be unlike any other time in history, and as we entered the new Jewish year of 5778 it would be the beginning of the harvest of all harvests. [My emphasis]. These two keywords have continued to ring loud and clear in my spirit for 2018 and I pray these following words encourage you to grab hold of the breakthrough available in this exciting time in the body of Christ!’…

Not just a few straggly ears!

Probably more than thirty years ago, I remember seeing a photo in a magazine I believe, of a whole line of combine harvesters in North Dakota, USA, harvesting a vast golden wheat field, which stretched as far, far as the eye could see. The memory has stayed with me ever since and often over the years I have often said to people that this surely represents the fulness of the ‘end-time harvest of souls’ prior to Jesus’ return. No returning to a few ‘straggly broken down ears’!

Are you ready to boldly walk our Land, to sow but also to bountifully reap? It may be that it’s all going to get a little crazy around here!

‘You take care of the earth and water it, making it rich and fertile. The river of God has plenty of water; it provides a bountiful harvest of grain, for you have ordered it so. You drench the ploughed ground with rain, melting the clods and leveling the ridges. You soften the earth with showers and bless its abundant crops. You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance.’
