An account of ‘As One’ – Part 1 – The morning at Coventry

This is how ‘As One’, our two connected gatherings on Saturday 29th September unfolded. This is the account of our morning at the old Coventry Cathedral Ruins

A perfect day

IMG_1005It was a bright, sunny, almost cloudless, a perfect day, as the Team started to gather within the ruins of the old Coventry Cathedral. It had been such a privilege to have been granted permission to use this ancient and significant site, known internationally as a place of peace and reconciliation.

As we had journeyed to this day, our Team had realised that The Lord had led us here; in a sense, to ‘gather-up’ the spirit of reconciliation it carried, and for its ‘release’ to the nation later at Meriden – but more about our afternoon at Meriden to follow!

Even before our arrival at the ruins that morning, a lady we knew, a valued intercessor, had been there praying. She later told us:

I felt God was saying that in the ruins of people’s lives there was an open heaven. God is there. Where things are not hidden but exposed… Reminded of the following verse…

They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.’ Isaiah 61:4

IMG_5841The Ruins carry such peace, that even when, shortly before we started there was no electricity for the PA system, no-one panicked! We knew The Lord had it all in hand. Indeed, around 11.40 a.m. the loudspeakers crackled into life and worship leader Rob Parker, with his team of talented, Holy Spirit led musicians, began to worship God.

The Father’s Love

As the crowd of an estimated one hundred and fifty people gathered – and we were aware too of many passers-by, visitors to the Ruins stopping – leaflets were distributed with information about the event, which also contained two copies of Father’s Love Letter.

Front of Father's Love Letter for Coventry

We had previously became aware of two ladies with a vision to see Father’s Love Letter distributed throughout Coventry, and another to see it placed in every home in the nation!

To ‘seed’ these visions, the Coventry ladies gave us 4,000 copies of Father’s Love Letter to give away. By the end of the day, virtually all were taken for redistribution. Praise God!

We believe that an outflow from ‘As One’, is the sense that God has a desire through Jesus Christ, to bring a much greater revelation of His love as Father to all His children across the UK – not only to those already Christian’s, but to all as yet who are not.

The Wigglesworth and Darnall prophecies

smith-wigglesworthAs the Cathedral Clock struck the hour, we paused in preparation as each chime rang out. Then, after a brief welcome and song of praise, UK Co-ordinator of Call the Nation to Prayer, (CTNTP), David Gilbey, read and reflected on key details from the 1947 Smith Wigglesworth and 1967 Jean Darnall, UK national revival prophecies.

Right from the formation of CTNTP, these prophecies had time and again been brought to our attention. David boldly declared that it is the time for their fulfilment.

Coventry and Reconciliation

Cross of nails in ruinsCTNTP Team member Suzanne Ferrett, then reflected on why we had been led to Coventry, suggesting that it is a City which carries a special anointing. She also read, John 17:20-21, a scripture that has anchored the name chosen for the day; ‘As One’:

I do not pray for those alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent me.”

Together, As One

IMG_5864After a further time of sung praise and worship, Team member, Jo Ognjanovic, introduced the fact that we had been brought together ‘As One’ this morning, albeit incompletely, to be a symbolic representation of The entire Church, The Body of Christ in our Nation, not simply as individual members.

Jo read out a powerful prayer and declaration of repentance and reconciliation on behalf of all Believers in the United Kingdom, during which, there were united responses of assent from all those present, using the words, ‘Together As One“.

There was then a time of silent reflection, followed by those present getting into two’s and three’s to pray, and symbolically, on behalf of the UK Church, to ‘let go’ of all that has, and still divides us. A song of celebration drew this part of the gathering to a close.

Coming together afresh – preparation for nationwide revival

IMG_5868David Gilbey then read from Ezekiel 37: 15-18 (God’s Word translation), concerning the taking and joining of two sticks.

Two staffs, shepherd’s crooks, were then walked in from either side of the platform by Rev. David Mayhew and John Yates and held upright, about a foot apart.

Founder of CTNTP, Peter Hill, then spoke about the reason for this act, which came from vision he had in 2016, whilst at an Anglican Church in Amsterdam.

To read our previously published account of Peter Hill’s vision concerning two shepherds crooks – click here.

Also, read this account of how during the planning of ‘As One’, Peter’s vision of two staffs was subsequently confirmed to the rest of CTNTP Steering Team, during a visit to the museum at Coventry Cathedral! – click here.

In essence, one staff was a symbolic representation of those in The Church who have held an emphasis on ‘The Word’ and the other, those who have held an emphasis on ‘The Spirit’. The 1947 Smith Wigglesworth’s prophecy, (see earlier reference), stated that when Christians of these two streams or positions ‘came together’, an unprecedented national revival would begin, which would eclipse any other ever seen within the shores of the UK.

Throughout, the two staffs were held close but remained apart, as Peter Hill described how in the afternoon at Meriden, considered for five-hundred years to be the historic centre of England, they would be bound together; joined in a prophetic act that we believed would initiate a nationwide release of the revival prophecies of Wigglesworth, and of Jean Darnall.

We worshipped The Lord again in song, and just as we drew to a close, twelve noon struck, and we were very certain that we had accomplished all that God had directed by His Spirit for us to do that morning.

God has heard our Prayers… and it will be established

It is a little over two weeks since our ‘As One’ gatherings in the heart of the nation, and with our ‘webmaster’ having just returned from holiday, we can start to release some further reflections from, and feedback received from the day.

There will be further Blog Posts, and the website itself will be gradually updated with more about the event, with links to some more of the prayers and declarations used.

Firstly, here is a reflection from CTNTP founder, Peter Hill, which was initially shared with our Team:

‘To share a thought from the book of Job and from: ‘Releasing the Prophetic Destiny of a Nation’ by Dutch Sheets and Chuck Pierce (which I am enjoying reading)… we have Job 22:27-28* (plus other scriptures) which underlines the following:

‘He has heard our prayers’ and as declared on the 29th. ‘It will be established for us and the Light will shine on our ways.’

As we know, God often speaks to us in advance of prayer being fulfilled, but the ripples are spreading and will continue to spread! So we go forward in faith, and just as a rower in a boat keeps rowing, and just as a rower stays on course by using a reference point behind him, we do also.

As we have come into agreement with what we believe the Lord has said, the word in Job 22:28 could be translated:

‘You will decree a decree, agreeing with and declaring what God has said about us. As we come into agreement with His Plans by declaring our faith in them, we are releasing the creative power of His Word, causing His Word to be established.

Prayer for the nation at Meriden

IMG_5906In due course, we hope to create a page on this site with some of the content – written prayers and declarations – from our, on Saturday 29th September, ‘As One’ gatherings at Coventry and Meriden.

Immediately though, we are able to publish the prayer for the United Kingdom, read by founder of Call the Nation to Prayer, Peter Hill, during the afternoon gathering at Meriden.

This is without copyright, and anyone sensing The Lord is asking them to hold a similar gathering, is welcome to use or adapt the prayer.

You can also now read an account of the whole afternoon at Meriden, which puts Peter’s prayer in context  – click here.

A Prophetic photo yesterday at ‘As One’?

CTNTP founder, Peter Hill, took a remarkable and stunning photo yesterday, Saturday 29th September 2018, of the market cross in Meriden,  the traditional centre, the heart of our nation for 500 years – the very afternoon of our ‘As One’ gathering, and shortly before we prophetically declared a release of revival prophecy over the UK.

The second photo shows the same location on a cold grey morning, with Peter, on the day he and CTNTP Co-ordinator David Gilbey were first led to Meriden in November 2017, and felt God tell them to hold such a gathering there.

More about the event will gradually be posted – currently check out our Welcome and also Feedback pages and sign up for further Blog Posts!

Another Confirmation!

Richard's WatchRichard’s Watch, is a website that is described as, ‘Looking for the signs of Jesus’ return’. We don’t think that will be too long now!

We were excited to see a post placed on their site today, concerning Jean Darnall’s vision of revival in the UK. Click here to view.

This is entirely in keeping with how we have been led to hold ‘As One’, this Saturday, to release revival prophecy, of Smith Wigglesworth and Jean Darnall!

Can you afford not to join us on Saturday in Coventry and Meriden!?

A Scarlet thread – confirmations received!

scarlet threadYesterday, we published a post, which included what we feel is a ‘prophetic poem’,concerning the blood of Jesus, which we saw as a scarlet thread running through history. Click here to read.

We have since received the following two most exciting responses to the post:

From Susan

This post is beyond thrilling for Elle and I.

As you know [actually CTNTP were not aware of these specifics!] as we have been in place of deep intercession 24/7 for many months for this tipping point event. We have had many encounters during this time and our theme throughout has been THE SCARLET THREAD. Our intercession is complete as of tomorrow 6 pm.

We have fasted sleep except for a couple of hours a night for almost 4 months! We are so looking forward to sleep!

Be blessed Peter and all of the team.

Our hearts are with you all!

Giving King Jesus the warmest welcome and the highest praise.

From Helen

This post has given me great encouragement because on Saturday morning I went to Gloucester Cathedral and went on a guided tour of the crypt. The guide showed us an art sculpture made of red string and informed us it was illustrating the passage of time through the ages.

I felt sad at his words and thought – No! This speaks of the redemptive power of Jesus blood and felt the Holy Spirit say “A scarlet thread weaving through time.”

Sadly I can’t attend prayers in Coventry on Saturday but my heart and spirit stand in agreement with you for renewal and revival to come, Amen

A Scarlet thread, weaving through Time

scarlet threadIn our post-modern, pluralistic society, we always seem to be straining ahead, looking to the next ‘thing’ that we can acquire to bring meaning and satisfaction to our lives, things like our career, relationships, a new home, car, phone… you get the picture?

And yet Jesus came to take us back to the beginning, to a time and place where there was nothing to acquire! Adam and Eve, walked in the cool of the day with their creator God, Father, Daddy. He had just created it all – perfection! Adam and Eve had and needed nothing – not even clothes – there weren’t any! – but had everything.

Of course, we know the story, they quickly wrecked it! A forbidden apple eaten, a lie told and separation, being cast out of Eden, to go it alone…

Although of course, God never truly abandoned them – even sending them on their way with clothes, that hid their embarrassment, the guilt of their sin.

All through Old Testament times, The Lord chose particular men and women, the prophets, the priests, the kings, even ordinary folk, to proclaim His Kingdom, in an attempt to bring His beloved people back to Him. Ultimately all failed.

Then, 2000 years ago, in a plan already made, God sent His Son, as a Saviour, and as a man like us, who bled and died, from the Cross He cried, “It is Finished!”, restoring all that sin had stolen.

As each of us forge ahead, it is surely time to stop! This Nation must turn, turn and look back to the beginning and as we do, we will see a scarlet thread, the blood of Jesus twisting and winding and flowing from God’s heart to ours. As we reach out to Him, He will embrace us and renewal and revival will come.

Today, we received this poem, which we use with permission. We believe it is prophetic for this moment for the United Kingdom:

The Scarlet Thread – Joshua 2:18-19

Through my life there runs a Scarlet Thread,
Red, like at the start, at the heart of it all,
when love tracked livid crimson down a rough hewn tree
for me, building my bridge of sighs.

Innocent blood painting out sin’s penalty overdue
Woven through the window frame of
the woman of shame that her line would be fulfilled;
until the man of sorrows pays the weaver’s bill.

The thread warps and wefts its way through the promised tangle.
The angle now being set on a new covenant
Confident that the Scarlet Thread still weaving through time
Is a sign that all is not yet lost?

Our Lamb has conquered – Let us follow Him

Trumpet Call to the UK

In June this year, friends of CTNTP, World Prayer Centre, Birmingham, held a Trumpet Call, national prayer event.

Large banners were paraded with the Moravian Church emblem, proclaiming ‘Our Lamb has conquered – Let us follow Him’!

The compelling theme of the day was about ‘turning from’ and ‘turning to’. It is time for the UK to repent, and turn to Jesus.

Byrhtnoth

2018-09-22 15.42.54
CTNTP Founder, Peter Hill (right) – who had recently arrived from Canada for our ‘As One’ event – and prayer warrior, Andy Reed, at the statue of Byrhtnoth

Last Saturday, one week before our ‘As One’ event, which is on Saturday 29th September – details here – some of our Team, went for a walk along the prom. at the estuary town of Maldon, Essex.

At the very end, there is a statue of Earl Byrhtnoth, who fought invading Vikings, at the Battle of Maldon, in 991.

Around the bottom of of the statue’s plinth, is part of Byrhtnoth’s final prayer, ‘Grant me O Lord Thy grace’.

Standing resolutely against an ungodly, pagan invasion of our Land, there Byrhtnoth died, defending our Nation.

After the battle Archbishop Sigeric of Canterbury and the aldermen of the south-western provinces advised King Æthelred to buy off the Vikings rather than continue the armed struggle. The result was a payment of 3,300 kg of silver.

A confirmation and a Battle Cry!

2018-09-22 15.39.02The spot upon which the statue stands has something  about it – a place which prayer seems easy and compelling!

As our Team earnestly prayed, seeking God for national revival, we noticed something on the top of Byrhtnoth’s helmet… a Lamb and a Cross! – the very same symbolism as adopted by the Moravians, several centuries later!

We felt The Holy Spirit’s stirring.

For too long, the ‘enemy’ has inhabited our Land, plundered our nation and held us captive! We have capitulated far too many times.

It is time, time for Believers in Jesus to arise and turn.

‘Our Lamb has conquered – Let us follow Him’!

“For the Lord and for the UK to be saved”

On paper, Call the Nation to Prayer has a relatively small following, but we know that The Lord is drawing the right people to be associated and involved, in what is humanly mission impossible!

gideonIn the Bible, God is usually to be seen working amongst small and committed, albeit often initially reluctant groups of people – we have often cited the story of Gideon, in the book of Judges, chapter 6 and 7, who was called by God to save the nation of Israel after they were disobedient, which had led to the Midianites oppressing them for seven long years.

Once Gideon had become convinced of his calling, he then found his army of 32,000 men, first reduced to 10,000, then down to a mere handful – just 300 men!

The story ends when at night, the 300 surrounded the Midianite Camp, broke jars to expose hidden flaming torches and blew trumpets.

Judges Chapter 7 v’s 17-18: “Watch me,” he [Gideon] told them. “Follow my lead. When I get to the edge of the camp, do exactly as I do. When I and all who are with me blow our trumpets, then from all around the camp blow yours and shout, ‘For the Lord and for Gideon.’”

As the Israelites carried out their instructions, the Midianites turned, killed each other and fled. Israel pursued, in victory over overwhelming odds!

It is now six days until ‘As One’, a relatively small event – we initially pictured something much larger, but God has dictated otherwise – which, far beyond any human ability to do so, and against all odds, will be a bold declaration for nationwide revival!

For for the Lord, and for the United Kingdom to be saved! Are you a Gideon?!

There is still time to join us on Saturday 29th September – full details, click here.
